Graham meets Grandaddy!!!

Last weekend, we took a trip up to my Aunts and Uncles near Austin. We had a joint birthday celebration for my Mom and Grandaddy (My Momma's Dad) and Chad. My Mom and Grandaddy have birthdays just a day apart. I rarely get to see my Grandaddy and he has never met Graham. Grandaddy is living in an Assisted Senior Living Community in my Aunts and Uncles town. He is turning 87 today!! He has dimensia and I know he has trouble remembering everybody these days. He is in pretty good health other than that, though, and he seemed to be doing good this weekend. The place where he lives is really nice, and I was glad we finally go to see it on Sunday before we headed home.

Baton Rouge Wedding

A couple of weekends ago we went to my cousin Erin's wedding. It was at a beautiful southern plantation in Baton Rouge. Graham was well-behaved through the ceremony, I was proud! A lot of family got to meet him that lives far away. It was a beautiful wedding, and we had a lot of fun. The drive over was long long long. But the drive back was much better. Congratulations, Erin and Dwight!!!!!

Chad's Birthday!!

On October 16th, Chad turned 25!!!! We were in Baton Rouge for my cousins wedding, so we celebrated on Monday when he got home from work. It seems for the past few years, when Chad's birthday comes around, we are always on the threshold of some major life-change, and he forbids me to get him anything ( I do anyway of course)!! On his 23rd birthday, we were strapped because we were getting married in 3 weeks, and had spent lots of money on wedding expenses. Last year, we had just found out I was pregnant, and this year, we are in the midst of buying our first house!! So, I decided to attempt to make him one of his favorite meals, chicken and dumplings and his favorite dessert, molten chocolate cake. It turned out pretty good! The following Friday, we celebrated with Chad's family, and went over to his parents for pizza and cake. Everyone chipped in and got him a lawn mower for the house, how nice! Next year I decided I'm doing it up big for his birthday, no matter what!!!! (He doesn't read our blog so don't tell ;) Happy Birthday, baby!!! You are the best husband and daddy in the world and we love you more than you could ever know!!!!!!

My little punkin' at the pumpkin patch!

Saturday evening we ventured out to the pumpkin patch for some classic fall pictures. The weather was beautiful (as it has been these past couple weeks...too bad today it is back up to 90 degrees!) First, we got in line to ride the train and when we realized we needed tickets some nice stranger said we could have 2 of his, how nice! The train was fun, and I think Graham liked it. Then we took some pictures with the hay barrell turkey and pumpkins, and goats and picked out our pumpkin. We ended up seeing Chad's cousin Dustin and his family there. They are the ones with the daughter who calls Chad Mr. kissy lips. She also is obsessed with Mr. Graham...too cute! It was a fun little outing, and Graham is so curious these days, it's fun to take him to new places.
