Family Pictures

We were badly in need of some family photos, so Chad's brother generously offered to take some pictures of us with his nice camera!! They turned out pretty cute, definitely think there are some framers :) I even used one for our Christmas cards, but I didn't post that one. Take a look!

Thanks again, Kara and David!!

Giving Thanks

This year, we went to Tyler for Thanksgiving! We've been switching off every year, so it's been 2 years since we've been there (about a year before I got pregnant! Crazy how much changes in 2 years!!) Although we missed not seeing Chad's family for Thanksgiving this year, I was happy that Graham's first Thanksgiving was in Tyler, and he got to meet my extended family!! We drove up Wednesday morning and stayed until Friday morning. I had forgotten what a pretty drive it was, and Graham did great in the car both ways! Unfortunately, the nights weren't so great, because Graham has his first tooth coming through, so we were up both nights with him. We were sharing a hotel room with my parents, so Mr. Graham kept us all awake! Chad had to make an emergency run to CVS at 3 in the morning on the second night, for some baby orajel. My parents were happy to help us, and he finally got back to sleep. All in all, it was a great Thanksgiving, and we have so much to be thankful for this year!

Yummy in the Tummy

Graham had his first taste of rice cereal tonight, he didn't seem too impressed. We will keep trying though. I originally planned to not start him on solids until 6 or 7 months, but at a dr. appt for a cold this week, he suggested we go ahead and start, since he is a little on the low side for weight and height (10th percentile), even though I'm still producing a good amount of milk. He is almost 6 months anyway. Take a look at Mr. Graham, he was so funny!

H-E-L-P!!!!!

As I'm typing this, I am sitting alone in a dark living room while Chad is in Graham's nursery boucing him in his bouncy chair so  we can all get some rest and G will finally go to sleep. This has been going on all week. Well, actually longer than that, but it has been way worse this week since he is also waking up around 12-2 a.m. (usually doesn't wake up until 4-5 a.m.) Graham has a cold which doesn't help either. But it's mainly a cough, no runny nose or stuffy nose.We have been losing lots of sleep at the Pokorny household and pulling our hair out trying to get Graham to sleep everynight. Doesn't seem to matter if we put him down awake, asleep, super tired, in a good mood, just nursed, swaddled, unswaddled... NOTHING WORKS!!!!!! Any suggestions will help!!!!! We have a good, long time established nighttime routine, nurse, bathe, pajamas, bed. But for some reason he still won't go to sleep without crying. for. a. very. long. time. Even if you don't have any suggestions, prayers for our sanity and sleep are much appreciated :) Thanks in advance!!
Oh, man do I miss my always-sleepy newborn these days (or should I say nights)

Roly-Poly

The other day, I put Graham down on his blanket to play while I did my make-up. There is a doorway from his room to our bathroom, so I put him down by it so I could see him. He was playing happily, and just when I was finishing up, I hear him fussing. I go in there to see what's wrong and he's not on his blanket! I look to the right, and don't see him. This is a first for me, and I am starting to panic, thinking "where the heck is he? he can't even crawl!!" I look to my left, and sure enough, there he is. See for yourself....

Playing happily
And he's off
Nowhere to be found
Playing his first game of hide 'n seek I guess

Hi Mom!

Crazy kid... I have a feeling I'm gonna be in trouble with this boy....

Weekend Recap

Well now that it's almost to next weekend, I guess I should post about last weekend, ha! We had a packed schedule again, which makes it go by fast. Friday night we went to our friends to have pizza and play board games. We played a game called Moods, and it was hilarious. First time we played, and I finished dead last, but that's ok. Saturday, I made us pancakes for breakfast (the only day of the week I cook breakfast ;) then we headed to our house to look at the progress, and met both of our parents there, then we all went to lunch at our new favorite mexican restaurant. Saturday night we went to our friends couples babyshower and Graham was being a little pill, so we had to leave early. It was the cutest shower though! They are doing the nursery in a Dr. Seuss theme, so everything was Dr. Seuss, so fun! They are having a boy also, so many boys! Graham will have no lack of friends his age!! :) Sunday, Chad left early in the morning, and went hunting for the day, while Me and our friends Nicole and Jamie (Chad was hunting with Nicole's hubby) hit up the Nutcracker Market. It was my first time to go, and we had two babies with us, Graham and Ayden (Jamie's baby). Luckily both strollers fit in my trunk! We had to park waaay far away, then when we got up there, found out we had to check our strollers, we couldn't bring them in! We were forced to lug around our huge diaper bags and 15 lb. babies for 2 hours! Our arms defintely got quite the workout. It was worth it though. I found some super cute Christmas ornaments, and a monogrammed hand towel with a "P" on it. I got inspired to make our Chrismtas decorations all silver and cream this year! Can't wait to see it all come together in our new house!! :) Somehow we didn't take harldy any pictures this weekend. I only have two (one I stole from facebook) ....
At Kelley and Jared's baby shower. Graham and this adorable baby are only 2 days apart. This is right after Graham spit up all over the floor... Notice the bib ;)

Graham and Ayden passed out on the way home from the Nutcraker Market. They were such good sports! Shop 'til you drop, right?!

Craziest Weatherman...Ever.

So, Chad and I have AT&T U-Verse, a lot of time we watch the Weather on Demand, and tonight, the craziest weatherman we've ever seen came on. The is the 2nd time we've seen him on here, there are different ones everytime. After watching the broadcast about 4 times, I decided to google him and this video popped up..... I told Chad he should be a weatherman since he is always making up songs, and being ridiculous. He is singing one right now, actually. This video is pretty long, but if you watch even a little bit, you get the picture.

Our 2 year Anniversary!

Our Wedding Day!!! November 7, 2008

Yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversary!! 2 years, hard to believe, but it's been an amazing adventure so far and I can't wait for all the adventures to come. To celebrate, we decided to skip a super fancy dinner this year and just have a low-key weekend. We spent Saturday all day at the outlet mall because we both badly needed winter clothes. It was a successful trip, Chad joked on the way home that we gave the economy a stimulus boost, haha :) Then we headed to my parents for steaks and to see my Aunt Patti and Grandaddy that had come into town last minute! It was so great to see Grandaddy and Graham together again, and Graham gave everyone a show by rolling over a whole bunch. Last week during his nap, he rolled from his back to his tummy, so he has been practicing that lately and has both rolls mastered. So proud of him and he is so proud of himself, it's so cute!
Graham shopping with Mom and Dad, he was so good!

On Sunday, we went to church and then went to Chad's parents for lunch and to visit. Then we came home and Chad was so sweet and let me take a long nap while he took care of Graham. That evening, my parents came over and babysat Graham while we went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I have to say, Graham is started seperation anxiety way early. Everytime we leave (or I leave I should say) he cries and cries. It's so sad. As soon as I pick him up he stops, just likew a switch. Poor baby. Anyway, we just went to an italian restaurant near by that we hadn't been to before. After dinner and a yummy dessert, we headed home to find our baby sleeping away... after we left he cried for awhile but the bouncer put him to sleep :) It was a great weekend and I am so proud to be the wife of the most amazing husband!
