The past two weeks, I have been getting my booty in gear and working out. I am sad to say I gained about 50 lbs. (well, 49 ;)) while pregnant with our little munchkin. I have lost 35 lbs. so far, but I still have another 15 to go before I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I would love to lose another 20-25 though since I wanted to lose a few lbs. before I got pregnant. I have been working out at our church, they have a family life center, so we got a month membership. They have free classes so I have been going to the "body blasters" class (which Chad's parents attend too!) and pilates. Altogether its 4 times a week. On pilates days Graham stays home with his Daddy but on body blasters days we all go and Chad works out in the weight room while Graham and I go to class. Graham is pretty much happy to hang in his stroller while Momma works out and then during the laps, he goes along with me :) Another bonus is that Graham gets to see his grandparents and his Grandma helps out if he starts crying during class ;) My goal is to get back down to a good weight by November, since we just booked a vacation for our 2nd anniversary!!! ( More on that later...) Here are some cute pictures I took last week after class!
This weekend was pretty low-key. Usually I love to go out to eat on Friday, but we cooked at the house which was uncharacteristically fine with me :) Saturday morning Chad made us eggs and pancakes which was so yummy then around 3 we wanted to get out of the house so we went to B.J.'s and had a drink and shared an appetizer. I am in love with their frozen peach drink, soo good.
Our friends Jamie and Eric invited us over for dinner and we had fun visiting with them. When Graham got tired, we headed home and put him to bed. He has been doing sooo good in his room!!! He has been sleeping through the night until at least 4:30 sometimes until 6:30!!
Sunday we were bad and skipped church again because we just didn't get it together in time. I wish we would've gone. We ended up having a super lazy Sunday and stayed in all day until we went to our friends Sean and Erica's for dinner. We grilled fajitas, which were so good and had a great time. It's nice to just have some down time on the weekend. Just being lazy with my husband and baby is all I need :) Hope everyone had a great weekend too! We didn't take any pictures this weekend, but here's one from this week, love his onesie it says "Who needs superheroes when I have Mom?" :) Have a great week!!
We have found a good little nighttime routine for Graham. After we eat dinner, he gets a bath, then we put him in his pajamas and play with him for a while. Then I nurse him, change him, swaddle him and put him to bed. He usually goes down around 9:30-10:30 depending on how tired he is. Last night was his first night in his crib! I put him down in his crib for his naps yesterday and he did so good, so we tried it out for the night. He did great! He slept from 10:30-6:40!! So proud of him!
He is liking his bath time now! In fact, if he's fussy it actually calms him down!
Thursday Graham finally had his check-up. Chad wasn't able to go with us, so I asked Graham's Mimi (my Mom) to go with us because I was nervous about being there with him by myself, since he was going to be getting his shot. He did great though! We are doing Dr. Sears' delayed vaccination schedule, so he only had to get the mouth drops and one shot this time. It was so sad when he got his shot, I was up by his head holding his little hands, and when they stuck him he looked so surprised then starting crying :( Poor little guy! He calmed down pretty quick though.
Here are his 2 month stats:
Weight: 11 pounds, 5.1 ounces- 50th percentile
Height: 22.75 inches- 50th percentile
Head circumference: 39.75 cm- 50th percentile
At one month his height, weight and head were all 25th percentile, I am so proud he is now in the 50th!! And he is perfectly porportional :) We knew he was perfect already though, as his Grandma says, hehe :)
The other week I took Graham up to Chad's work. One of his coworkers was leaving and wanted to see Graham before she left. Graham was a big hit with everyone and was a perfect little angel, letting everyone hold him and love on him. He even slept through lunch afterward, letting Momma and Daddy have a nice lunch together at Pappasito's.
Saturday evening we went to Chad's cousin's house for a cookout. We decided to put Graham in the pool for the first time and he loved it! I can't wait to put him in the pool again. He looked so stylish in his little swim trunks.
Happy 2 months to my sweet baby boy! Graham's 2 month check up isn't until the 12th, so I don't have is 2 month stats yet.
Graham, you have made our lives so wonderful since the moment you were born. Our lives have changed so much these past two months, and we can't imagine life without you! You are getting to be more fun everyday and we can't get enough of all the cute things you do. Your "sad face" and "sad lip" are the cutest things in the entire world!! You really know how do lay it on thick for Mommy and Daddy. You have been so smiley lately, especially in the morning. You are such a strong boy, already holding your head up well, and putting all your weight on your legs!! At this rate we are betting you'll be walking by six months! Ha! You have brought so much joy and meaning to our lives, sweet baby. Mommy and Daddy love you more than you could ever know!!
Here are some of the things that Graham is doing this month:
-Smiling when we smile at him
-Nursing for 10 minutes on each side every 2-3 hours
Taking a good long morning nap
Napping randomly throughout the day
Going to bed around 10 p.m. and sleeping and average of 5-6 hours!
Holding his head up pretty well, especially during tummy time
Holding his own weight on his legs if we stand him up on our laps
Grabs handfuls of Mommy's hair when I'm holding him... sometimes Daddy has to help me get him unattached!
Started cooing and talking to us
Looks in our direction when he hears our voices when we enter a room
Some of the things Graham likes right now:
Swinging, and he likes when I switch the direction
Looking at the mobile in his crib and above his swing and loves the sounds his swing and mobile make
Smiles when we tickle his chin or cheeks
Loves being rocked and sung to
Loves his bouncer
Loves his pacifier
Still likes being swaddled at night time
Likes riding in the car and going places
The pool (at least that one time)
Happiest time of day seems to be in the morning, but he is pretty laid-back all the time :)
Some of Graham's dislikes:
-Waking up from a nap hungry
Getting a diaper change and changing clothes
The carseat if we don't leave right away (usually quiets down as soon as we walk out the door :))
Bath time, I think he doesn't like when the water isn't covering him a lot
His crankiest times of day are after lunch and while Chad and I are trying to make/eat our dinner
