My Crushes

Got this post idea from this blog here and I loved it. Here's some of  my everyday stuff I absolutely can't live without...

1. St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal and Shea butter lotion. I put this on as soon as I get out of the shower. I found it a couple years ago and have been addicted ever since.
2. Gain Laundry Detergent in Spring Lavender. This stuff smells amazing. My sister-in-law introduced me to Gain and I love the lavender scent. Especially when I wash the sheets, it's so nice to smell calming lavender while drifting off to sleep. I still wash Graham's clothes in Dreft, though. Anyone know how long you're supposed to do that?

3. Chanel Chance Perfume... worn it for years and still love it. Even though I don't wear it every single day, I still consider having it a necessity.

4. Banana Republic Navy Blazer... This is a new item I just got last week. I love it because it is so versatile, and instantly polishes an ordinary outfit

 5. Ballet Flats, a must-have for a mommy. No, I don't always wear
Tory Burch but if I could I would. So many fun colors and styles. I wore out my Tory Burch flip flops during my pregnancy. I should put those on my bday wish list....

6. Simple diamond (CZ that is..) studs. I rarely leave the house without these in my ears

7. Folgers Coffee.... I'm  a Mom of an 8 month old... need I say more?

8. Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. I've used this facewash for years and it has kept most all breakouts at bay, L.O.V.E. it. My face feels so clean after using it, and has this cooling feeling that is so refreshing.

 9. My iPhone. I am addicted. I love how it is so easy to snap pictures of Graham.

10.Olay face moisturizer. I inherited my addiction from my Mom. She has used it for decades. I love how it gives my face an instant glow
11. Paci wipes. A lifesaver. Graham loves him a paci and loves dropping it even more. I feel confident these get them clean when soap and a sink are nowhere in sight.
12. Cherry Chapstick... Alas, my nightly routine is not complete without the application of this little gem. I literally have a hard time falling asleep if I don't have any. Love the Cherry smell. It's also great for daytime, love the slight color it gives my lips, and its so natural. I'm not a fan of a lot of color on my lips.

Our Week Out of Town

This week, Chad had to go to Kansas City on business. I decided I was going to take this time to visit my sister and her family in ATX. We all left Tuesday, Chad in the morning, and G and I in in the early afternoon. I was a little nervous about my first solo roadtrip with Graham, but the ride up went off without a hitch :) On Wednesday, G and I met our friend Jake in San Marcos for lunch. I got lost on the way there and back and to top it off got a speeding ticket (awesome.) We had a good lunch though, and Jake went with me and Graham to cruise the outlets. I ended up getting a Bambi stuffed animal for Graham and Nemo for Charlotte. (Her favorite movie right now is Finding Nemo, although she ended up being just as enamored with the Princess bag it came in, ha!) Graham and Charlotte had big fun together, it was so cute watching them play. They are gettting to the age where they can interact, and it's so much fun. They took baths together every night and were really sweet towards eachother. We headed home on Friday and Chad got home that night. So nice having my hubby home. I really feel for my friends whose husbands are gone a lot, that must be so hard. It's just not the same without "Dada" around.

Naptime...NOT!!

38 In, 38 Out

Today marks the day that Graham has been out of belly as long as he was in it. That's just plain crazy. It seems like I was pregnant for forever, and these past 8 1/2 months have flown by since he's been born. In honor of this anniversary, I created a little slideshow of our baby love... enjoy!

News Makers

My sister lives in Austin, and back in December while she and her husband were at work, their front door was kicked and while my niece Charlotte and her nanny were inside. Thankfully, we think when they realized there were people home, they ran off. So scary. Well, yesterday the local news interviewed my sister, here's the video!

Welcome to the World Baby Landon!

On Sunday our friends Jerry and Nicole welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Landon! On Monday we went to see him, and he is such a doll! Graham was excited to finally meet his friend.

Nekked Baby

After Graham's bath the other night, we let him roll around his room for awhile in his birthday suit. The kid loves being naked. He laughs and smiles and loves when we have to take his clothes off and fusses when they go back on. Crazy little baby. He looked so cute, and he had lots of fun. Miraculously, there were no potty accidents!

Valenitne's Day & Daytrip to Kemah

Sunday we decided to head down to Kemah! Chad had never been and we wanted to do something special for Graham's first Valentine's Day :) It was an absolutely beautiful day. Perfect for spending it by the beach. First, we ate lunch at the Aquarium restaurant and had lots of yummy seafood and for dessert we had the chocolate shark attack (which took 20 minutes b/c they make it fresh, but didn't taste as good as our favorite dessert molten chocolate cake from Chili's) Then we walked around the pier, took a ride on the train and ended the day by getting some coffee and I'm ashamed to say it, a funnel cake. We think Graham had a good time, and he was passed out the whole way home.

What We've Been Up To

Winter has finally arrived for us down here in Southern Texas, and I have to admit I am enjoying the cold...it is 30 degrees right now! In other news, I think Graham is officially crawling! Yep, that's right, we have a mobile baby on our hands. He still falls on his belly often, but he gets where he wants to go, and mostly it's with the belly off the ground. I have a couple of videos I will try to post.

Chad and I have been spending lots of time with friends lately, last weekend, we went to Big Texas with our friends Traci and Carl, and saw The Randy Rogers Band, so fun! We also spent time with  our friends Kirby and Jerry... they recently got engaged!! I was so honored when she asked me to be a bridesmaid, and I cannot wait for their October wedding and all the fun pre-wedding festivities that will be happening! We also had our friends Sean and Erica over to see our house  and Ava and Graham got to play together then we all went out for pizza and then coffee.

We also just started a couples bible study with our church lifegroup, it's called The Sacred Marriage, and we are really excited about it! Last night was the first night, and we were one of 3 couples who played an ice-breaker "how well do you know your spouse" game. We were the couple married the least amount of time, but we ended up winning! We are pretty good at those kind of games. It's kind of eerie how much Chad and I are on the same wavelength. We are always saying "I was just thinking that!" to eachother when one of us makes a comment. We can just look at eachother and know what the other is thinking. It's one of the {many} things I like best about us.

Sometime this weeknd, I think we're taking Graham to the Downtown Aquarium so he can see all the fishies and have lunch at the restuarant to celebrate Graham's first Valentine's Day. Chad and I will also be going on a date night probably on Monday while my parents babysit. It will actually be our first time to celebrate Valentine's Day out. The whole time we've been together I've always cooked a romantic meal for us for Vday. We might still eat dinner at home then go get dessert or catch a movie.

That's what's been going on around here lately! Hope everyone stays warm and has a great weekend!!
