Recipe: Farm Stand Pizza

I saw this simple recipe on the Today show this week, and since I had all the ingredients already, I decided to try it out.

Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated pizza crust
1 jar of pizza sauce
shredded mozzerella cheese
crumbled feta cheese
your favorite veggies--
I used frozen broccoli florets,a few slices of thinly sliced tomato, fresh sliced mushrooms (I chopped them up) 2 cloves pressed garlic, fresh basil

Heat oven to designated time on package of pizza crust

Get out a cookie or baking sheet, spray with Pam and also spray your hands (this is so the dough spreads more easily and doesn't stick)

Spread dough until covering cooking sheet (or as much as it can) then poke holes in the bottom with a fork.

Cover dough with a cup of pizza sauce, then add your veggies and top with mozzerella cheese and feta cheese. Bake for about 17 minutes. You can serve a salad on the side if you want, but we didn't b/c we were out, but the pizza had enough veggies, it felt like a complete meal in itself.

That's it!! So easy and good. The veggies make me feel a little better about having pizza :) It may sound weird to eat broccoli on your pizza, but we thought it was delicious!!! I had a slice for lunch today, and it was still really good.

Yep, that's right we are finally going on a very belated honeymoon!!! I am a little nervous about leaving my baby for 7 whole nights, (considering we've never left him for ONE!) but I know he will be in very good hands with our parents. My biggest fear is missing a major milestone, aka his first steps or something major!! But, I think he is for sure a good couple months away from that. We are getting more excited about this trip by the day and I am sooo looking forward to getting 7 nights of good sleep and getting to sleep in!!

Sunday Wedding

Sunday afternoon we went to the wedding of one of Chad's bestfriend's little sister. It was at this pretty venue out in the country near Conroe. It was outside and the weather was gorgeous, as well as the bride! We left Graham at home with the Chad's parents, and they had a ball with him. He is crawling, pulling up and lauging all the time. Such a fun, precious stage he is in! We had a great night with lots of friends as well as David and Kara (Chad's brother and his wife). Thanks for babysitting, Grandma and Pepaw!!! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Lewis!!!

Day Trip to Galveston

Saturday was so much fun. We decided to take Graham to Galveston to show him the beach for the first time. The trip started off great with a quick trip to Walmart before we left town for some beach towels and beach toys for G. On the way down we didn't hit any traffic. When we got to the beach, we got G out and put him in his stroller; we knew he was really excited because he started kicking his feet, so cute. We found a nice spot on the beach and had a little picnic with sandwiches, chips, string cheese and fruit. We just let Graham explore the beach towel with his new toys. He was loving it. We dipped his feet in the water, but it was pretty chilly so he wasn't a fan. It was a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cold, with just enough clouds.












After we hit the beach, we went to see Hotel Galvez. It's a beautiful 100 year old hotel, and it's supposedly haunted. I'd been once before, but Chad hadn't so we explored the hotel and talked to some of the staff who told us some ghost stories. They are having their 100 year anniversary celebration on June 10th, it sounded like fun. The hotel lobby is amazing, but the rooms are just so-so. They're fine, but not anything special, really. For the price, not sure if we'd ever stay there.



After the hotel, we went to The Strand and grabbed something to eat at The Harbor House restaurant, we sat on the back deck and watched the huge ships in the harbor. Then we went to La King's and ate some yummy icecream, where Graham passed out from the fun-filled day. We took that as a hint that we should head home. Such a great day!!!

Growing Up!

Check out Graham's new trick!!

I started offering him a sippy cup a few weeks ago, but he would always just try to bite it or throw it. Well, he finally got the hang of it last week, right out of the blue! I also saw that one of his top teeth popped through, and it looks like 2 more are going to poke through any day now. SO thankful he isn't having as hard of a time teething as he did with the  first two teeth.

Sunday we let Graham try out his new baby pool (picked it up from Target a few weeks ago for only 5 bucks!) He loves it! He is a water baby, which is a very good thing for our family!! I can't wait for this summer, he will have so much fun in the water. My parent's pool is going to get a lot of good use in the next few months!!!

Friday Lunch Date

Yesterday we met my mother-in-law for lunch in Old Town Spring. We were supposed to meet Traci and Tripp and Traci's mother-in-law also. Traci's mother-in-law and my mother-in-law are friends, their boys (our husbands) played baseball together growing up! How fun! Maybe one day Graham and Tripp will follow in their footsteps :) Well, Tripp got sick the night before, so we are rescheduling for next week. Jamie and I decided to meet up anyway, though! We had tons of fun talking and laughing, and then Graham and I walked around the shops afterward. Then, we went to Jamie's work to show Graham off. We hadn't visited her office since Graham was about 3 weeks old! What a fun day!
