Summer Time!

If you know our family very well, you know we love us some pool time in the summer!! You can find us at my parents pool almost every weekend, and this weekend was no different! Our sweet cousins came to visit us all the way from Baton Rouge and it was so nice visiting with them. Erin and Debra stayed with my parents, so we got to host Mer & Randall and the kids at our house. They were our very first over night house guests! They got in late Friday night, but we kept Graham up to see Charlotte and Evan. The kids played and played before we put the little ones to bed. Graham loooves Charlotte and Evan. They all are so cute together. Then, the rest of us stayed up late and watched an old favorite, The Great Outdoors :) Such a classic. The next day we headed to my parents for some fun in the sun.Charlotte is so sweet with Graham and calles him "Draham" haha. Charlotte is growing up so fast, and repeats everything you say. She is doing so good swimming and is so cute in her water wings! Such a fun weekend. In a few weeks we are renting a beach house and going to stay in Galveston for a week with my parents, Mer and Randall and the kids, and my Aunt and Uncle.  We used to do this every summer growing up, and we have the best memories of our  annual beach trips. Can't wait to continue the tradition now that we have kiddos of our own. We also used to make a trip to Garner every summer, so we need to revive that tradition, too! As you can see from the pics, my swelling is gone and I am feeling much better! :) Chad is glad to have his wife back, ha!

Recovery

This weekend has been pretty rough. They were able to get all 4 wisdom teeth, so that was a huge blessing. When I woke up, I was feeling pretty good, and it wasn't until the anesthesia wore off that I started feeling bad. I took my pain pills right away and the rest of the day I just spent resting and sleeping. I was in our bedroom the majority of the afternoon, and every once in a while, I would hear a little someone banging on the door looking for his Mama :) melted my heart.

I started to swell and by Saturday it was bad. My parents thankfully kept Graham Friday night so we could get some rest. When they brought him back over, I was looking pretty rough. The swelling really didn't go down much at all until this morning. Chad's parents kept Graham last night, and I rode with Chad to drop him off b/c Chad thought it would be good for me to get out for a bit. I ended up regretting it though, b/c we finally got back home and I was sooo ready to lay back down, and we discovered that when we had left my car (so they would have a carseat) we also left them our only house key we had with us. So we had to drive all the way back, with the blazing sun in my eyes the whole time, making my head pound. Not fun. After I rested for a bit, I felt better and we watched movies the rest of the evening.

Last night, I woke up around 3 and felt major swelling, so took some ibprofen and that helped some. All today my right side has gone down considerably but my left side his still gigantic. It is scary!! I have hardly moved off the couch all day, and have a pounding headache every time I get up. Then an hour or so ago I started running fever. My mom is coming over to help me out tomorrow moring. I am hoping I will feel a big difference in the morning, but we'll see.

The doctor said he thought I would be pretty swollen b/c of how my teeth were, so he's not too concerned. My whole neck is sore and so is my jaw, and my swollen cheek hurts but my actual wisdom teeth spots don't really hurt at all. The swelling is supposed to recede by the 5th day (Tuesday) so needless to say, I can't wait. I have a picture of my swelling I almost posted, but I am too vain to let anyone see me this way. Well, besides family because they have to love me anyway!!

Happy Father's Day!!

These two guys are the most giving, loving, sweet, amazing Dad's. Thank you both for being so wonderful. I love you more than words can say!!! Happy Father's Day!!!!!

Ouch!

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out today. I was supposed to get them out October of 2009, but you can read the very important story of why that didn't happen! I am nervous because my bottom teeth are very close to the nerve, so the surgeon is going to take out my top and bottom wisdom teeth on my right side, and if that goes well without any nerve damage, he will do the other side. If there is damage to the nerve, I will have to wait to get the other side out, because I could be numb on the right side of my mouth/face (possibly for months!!!!!)  I am praying that doesn't happen.... Say a prayer for me please!!!

On the Go!

Our weekend in Austin was great! We left Friday afternoon, but after Graham's afternoon nap, so even though he started out in a good mood, since he didn't sleep that much he was more than ready to get there 2.5 hours later!

Pulling out of our driveway

Leaving the back of our neighborhood we spotted 2 fallow deer!! For those who aren't familiar with deer hunting or deer in general (like me) they are apparently really rare. He called his Grandmother Gamme, and she grew up on several thousand acres in Kerrville and had only seen them ONCE in her lifetime! We saw a buck and a doe. Chad was in awe!

Stopping in Brenham to change a diaper

On the road again! Love those shades.

When we finally arrived in Austin, we went to eat our fav food, mexican with my sister, Randall and Charlotte. Charlotte and Graham are huge fans of eachother. They looked so darn cute sitting in their highchairs across from one another. My parents were waiting for us at Mer and Randall's when we got back, and we put the kids to bed and visited. The next day was Charlotte's party so we spent the moring chasing the kiddos and getting ready. It was a garden party and so cute!!

The kids were wiped out, so after they went to bed Chad, Mer, Randall and me stayed up and played some boy v. girl spades on the back porch. Sunday, we went to their neighborhood pool before we hit the road. Graham did much better on the drive home, thank goodness! Such a fun weekend. I see some joint bday parties in our future with 2 cousins born a week apart!!! ;)
