38 Weeks

How Far Along: 38 Weeks! I can't believe I will be meeting my baby in one week or less!

Size of baby: A Pumpkin {Can't wait to hold my little punkin'!!!} :) Baby is about 18.9 to 20.9 inches long and weighs about 6.2 to 9.2 pounds. Her head is now about the same circumference as her abdomen.

Total Weight Gain: 30 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Yep

Movement: Her moves have slowed down a bit... I think she is getting a tad crowded in there :) Still feeling lots of rolls, pressure, protruding limbs

Sleep: Sleep has still been good for the most part!

What I miss: I can't wait to have a drink at dinner again. My mouth was watering watching Chad drink a margarita at lunch today. Also, being able to get out of bed or out of the tub without assistance! :)

Cravings: Nothing in particular, but my appetite has not curbed. I get full faster still, but somehow that doesn't stop me from finishing my meal most of the time....

Symptoms: Swollen ankles, feet and legs. My wedding ring has been retired for now :( Lots of braxton hicks, especially in the evening.

Best Moment This Week: Spending the weekend soaking up time with my boys! :)

What I'm looking forward to: My doctor appointment on Wednesday, hoping my doctor will be able to do a membrane sweep to help labor along!

Milestones:  Yow! If you feel a sort of lightening bolt running up and down your legs (and in your crotch), don’t freak out. At 38 weeks, baby’s probably sitting pretty low in your pelvis, which means she’s bumping into all kinds of nerves down there -- including some pretty sensitive ones you might not know you had. Be on the lookout for signs of labor, including contractions that come on stronger, at more regular intervals, and the “bloody show.” It could happen any day now -- or it might not be for a few weeks. Until then, try to relax. She may have about an inch or so of hair already. She's slowly shedding that white goo on her skin (called vernix caseosa) but you might see some of it at birth
