Easter Sunday: 2013

We had a great, low-key Easter this year. Usually, we split Easter up between my family and Chad's, but this year, my parents went to Austin to spend Easter with my sister and her family (they had a wedding to go to in Austin, so they were staying for that this year.) So, we had fun with Chad's side of the family and got in a lot of quality time :)

Sunday morning, we woke up and the kids found their Easter baskets. They were so cute this year, it was the first year Graham acutally "got it" and he was super excited to get candy, haha. Claire looked pretty excited too! Her eggs were filled with mainly cheerios, and goldfish that were shaped like chicks. They each got a chocolate bunny, 2 shirts, a movie each (The Land Before Time for Graham, and Milo and Otis for Claire) a jelly bean carrot, a small Mickey Mouse Easter board book, and Annie's bunny fruit snacks. As a shared gift, they got The Little Engine That Could. Graham has been obsessed with this book ever since! It was a favorite of mine too, as a kid. :)

After the Easter basket fun, we ate breakfast, then got ready for church. We even had a few minutes to spare to snap a few pictures of us in our Easter Sunday best :)

We ended up taking Claire into church with us becasue she has been having some separation anxiety. Plus, I wanted to show her off in her adorable little sailor outfit ;)
After church, we came home for a just a little bit to grab the dishes I was bringing to Easter dinner, and to change clothes. We headed to Chad's parents, where we had a delicous meal, and an Easter egg hunt.

Happy Easter!!

And he said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. Mark 16:6
