The Tiebreaker

The week of Thanksgiving, we had our gender ultrasound for baby number 3! I was just over 15 weeks along, and we decided to have a little gender reveal party/housewarming party with some of our friends and neighbors. My parents also got to be there, and we Facetimed with Chad's parents and my sister. It was such a fun get together!! With Graham we just found out at the ultrasound and called/texted our family  and friends, and with Claire we had a gender reveal party where we found out by cutting into a cake. Finding out with everyone was so fun and such an exciting night, I wanted to do that again, so this time I had the ultrasound tech put the gender in an envelope and I gave it to my mom and my sweet neighbor Haley and they filled a box up with either pink or blue balloons.

The ultrasound showed a perfect baby, heart rate of 150, curled up in a breech position. Crazy how much they change from 12 weeks to 15!!

It was so fun hosting everyone in our new house!! It was also good motivation to get unpacked, ha!

We kept dinner simple and just ordered pizza, and made a little salad bar and had fruit and veggies with dip.

There were lots of kiddos there, so they had a blast chasing each other around the backyard.

Finally it was time for the big reveal! All the anticipation was killing me.
As you can guess, Graham was rooting for a baby brother and Claire was adamant that it was a girl. She said it so matter-of-factly, too. It was so funny. Chad thought it was a boy, and I felt like it could go either way.

AND......

It's a GIRL!!!

Poor G, he was a pretty good sport about it.

It was so fun celebrating our new baby girl with our family and friends!!

We are so excited to meet the newest addition!! She is one loved baby already and her big brother and sister can't wait to meet her!!!

Coming in May...

I am 14 weeks along, and feeling good for the most part. Our last doctor's appointment was at 11 weeks and baby was measuring one day ahead and the heart beat was 154 bpm. My due date is May 13th which just seems like forever away. This pregnancy has been pretty easy except for some evening sickness and a lot of exhaustion. I feel like I've been pregnant forever already, I'm so happy to be in the second trimester. We can find out in one week if we are having another boy or another girl! Chad is trying to convince us to be surprised, but I told him the pregnancy itself was surprise enough, ha!

Claire wants a sister and Graham wants a brother so I'm trying to prepare them both.  They are super excited and ask all the time how big the baby is. Claire is excited for it to be the size of a banana (20 weeks).  I asked Claire if she would be sad if the baby is a boy and she said "No! I'll be sad if it's a grown up." Me too, Claire. Ouch!

I've had two dreams it's a girl and one dream that it's a boy, so really I have no clue. I can't tell if it's more similar to my pregnancy with Graham or Claire, not that that really matters, anyway.

We are so thankful for this new little life. I sometimes still can't believe we will have another baby in our house in 6 months but we can't wait for our newest little love to join our family!

Goodbye Houston... Hello Fort Worth!

In October we made a big move! We are now Fort Worth residents and we couldn't be more excited! Leaving our hometown, families and friends was hard but we knew it would be "worth" it. See what I did there? ;) We are loving our new area, and home and neighborhood. We've settled in quickly and the kids have adjusted better than we could've hoped for. It's been so refreshing to have beautiful rolling hills, scenery, and a fun new city to explore!! Fort Worth is just gorgeous and there's so much to do. We are loving discovering new restaurants, hiking, decorating our new home and the weather is amazing!!!

One of the hardest parts of moving... saying goodbye to our awesome neighbors!! We miss them so much!
These kids were inseparable! We can't wait to go back and visit soon!!!

It was so hard saying goodbye to our house, but we were excited about our new adventure.

The last picture of our old house...

And the first picture of our new house!
